About
About CalcMyAds
CalcMyAds builds fast, private advertising calculators that show the formula behind every result.
What we do: turn the standard advertising formulas — CPM, CPC, CTR, ROAS, ROI, ad cost, impressions and eCPM — into tools you can use in one minute, with the arithmetic visible and the limits of the estimate stated.
Our purpose
Most advertising metrics are simple division, yet they are usually explained without showing the working, and calculated in tools that want your email address first. CalcMyAds exists to remove both problems: every calculator shows the formula and the substituted numbers, and every calculation runs locally in your browser.
The tools are used by performance marketers, agency planners, publishers, creators, students and small business owners — anyone who needs to answer "what will this cost, and what will it return?" without opening a spreadsheet.
How calculations work
- Local by default. Every calculation runs in JavaScript in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to a server, stored, or used to build a profile.
- Formula first. Each tool displays the formula and, where useful, the substituted values so you can check the result by hand.
- Standard definitions only. We use the conventional industry definitions, and we state the denominator in the result — a rate without its denominator is not a measurement.
- Currency-neutral. USD is the default label; the formulas work in any currency as long as the inputs match.
Editorial principles
- Use standard, transparent formulas.
- Never present a modelled or estimated figure as a measured one.
- Separate planning estimates from platform-reported results.
- Label benchmark ranges with their sources, and say when sources disagree.
- Avoid guaranteed performance claims — no calculator can promise a campaign outcome.
- Keep tools accessible, keyboard-usable and readable on a phone.
How we source benchmark data
Benchmark tables (for example on the CPM benchmarks page) aggregate publicly reported industry studies. We show ranges rather than single values, name the type of source, and note the quarter or period where it matters. We do not publish figures as our own measurements, and we do not use client campaign data in published benchmarks.
Corrections
If a formula, worked example or benchmark range on this site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Send the page, the number you believe is correct and the source. Corrections are applied as soon as they are verified, and material changes to benchmark pages are noted on the page itself.
What CalcMyAds is not
- Not financial, tax or legal advice.
- Not a performance guarantee: results depend on your offer, audience, creative and market.
- Not an ad platform, agency or media buyer. We do not manage campaigns.
